Update on Braxy

Well it is not always have a baby and bring him home in 2 days!!! Little braxy is giving his new mom and daddy a little run for their money he is teaching us that he is going to be stubborn. He was admitted into the NICU today he has developed some Jaundis and when he eats his oxygen drops so they have him on oxygen and under the lights for a few days. We do not have a full report because they will not release info to us until Lindsay signs some papers tonight. So when we know more i will post it.

Braxton Lane Beattie has arrived.

After 27 hours of Labor and an hour of pushing cute little Lindsey ended up have a C Section on Friday night. She was such a trooper through everything and never once complained. Braxton was born Friday August 29, 2008 at 10:19pm he weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 21 3/4 long. He was having some trouble with fluid in his lungs but they are working with him. I am so tired I too have been up for 27 hours rooting lindsay on and being by her side. So for now good night but i will send pics tomorrow.

Nursery Is started

Well After I took dad and linda to the aiport today I came home hauled the bed out of the room and started asembling the crib. here are two pictures so far I will send more tomorrow it is a work in progress right now that is for sure but it should be done soon!!!

1St Shower

Well I had my first baby shower tonight. It was so much fun. My Sweet neighbors Brittney and Emily threw it for me they are the best. Brit made the cutest Diaper Cake it was the hit of the party! Thanks to everyone that came and for all the cute things and expecially for all the love and support you are all the best. Thanks again Brit and Em!

The Weekend with Dad and Linder

My Dad and his Wife Linda came to visit this weekend. We had a good time. They flew in on Saturday night we went and had dinner at La Puente one of Dads favorite places to go when he comes here. Then we came back that night and played monopoly when ever we get together we have to play monopoly just to prove to dad that he can not always win so this time Linda wiped us all clean it was great. Linda made good ol country bisquits and gravy sunday morning for breakfast and we just hung out and visitied. Later on we went to Ice Berg for a shake (another one of Dads favorite places) Sunday night we had another monopoly match this time I pretty much owned the board. It got to be late and we decided to finish the game later. So today we got up and got ready and went to Del Taco for breakfast (another favorite of dads in fact we went there at 10:00 last night too) then we decided to go on a ride. We went to to Park City then over to rockport and back home it was a nice ride. Then tonight was an especially fun night, we were able to all get together with my Dads brother Fyke and his wife Sandy who live in California. They were coming out to visit and decided to come a day earlier so we could all get together, mind you we have not all been together since my Grandma passed away 10 years ago so it was fun to get to see them and hopefully we will keep in touch. Well Dad and Linda are leaving in the morning it has been a fun weekend but now it is time to get the nursery put together and get ready for Braxy. Here are some pics

Update for the Week

Well since it is 6:34 in the morning on Saturday and I am workin Jetblue I thought I would take this time to give an update on our week. Lets see We did the build a bear thing on Monday and on Tuesday my sweet mother decided that I needed a little help getting my life organized for this upcoming baby So she came out that evening and spent the night with us. Of course when she got here she wanted to go see Baby Macie (who wouldnt she is dang cute and fun) so we went and hung out over at my brothers then came home and went to bed. We got up around 8 and went to Paradise to grab some breakfast and came home and got too it. We decided to start in the basement because there were still things we have not unpacked so we busted our fannies for a few hours took 3 loads to the DI and a few to the dump! Then that cute Macie and Aubrey came over and our cleaning came to a hault because who wants to clean when you can play with a baby?!?! So anyway we got a little bit of stuff done we made a huge dent in the basement which was nice! then on thursday we got up and did a few more things and i left to go run some errands and my mom went home to get ready for her weekend getaway with steve to Vegas. Yeasterday I cleaned and ran errands Brooks is of course up at the cabin he and his dad have been busy the last few weeks gathering wood for the fireplace this winter. My dad and Stepmom are coming in town today to see and spend time with us. I am excited to see them we have not seen them since my brothers wedding in March. I am sure we will have a good time we always do. I will make sure and get some pics and an update up after they leave. Hope everyone has a great weekend and sorry for all the blah blah blah.

Build a Bear

Brooks and I have been thinking of what we can give lindsie at the hospital that would be meaningful and memorable. We decided that we would go and make a build a bear for both lindsie and the baby and dress them alike this way she has something to hold on to and have and when we send her pics of the baby we will take one with the bear as well so she can measure how big he is getting compared to the bear. So brooks and i decided to go make the bears tonight for family night it was a lot of fun and i am sure as you can guess brooks picked out the outfit. I cried though as the girl had us kiss the bears heart and make a wish for the baby and linds before we put the hearts in the bears. Here are the pics. ENJOY!

Lindsie

I thought I would post some pictures of our outings with Lindsie (our babies birth mom) It is kind of freaky how much we look alike. We are so blessed that she has been brought into our life. I had the opportunity of going with her to her ultrasound and non stress test today. Everything looks great with the baby he is currently 5lbs and 8ounces and he is going to have some hair! The dr will be inducing her in 3 weeks and 4 days we are so excited!!!!

Macie Kay is Here

Macie Kay Angus was born on August 12 at 11:25 am. She weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces and was 19 inches long. Three pushes and she was out. Mommy and baby are doing wonderful and she of course is the cutest baby ever. Enjoy these pics i am sure there will be many many more.
