Ginger Bread houses with the Beatties

Tonight we made authentic home baked gingerbread houses with Brooks's family. Brooks and I get to do this evey year with my family and we decided to add the tradition to the Beattie side as well. This is the first year we have done this as a family and it was a lot of fun. I think a few of the family memebers thought the kids may not enjoy it or may hurry through it and the kids loved it. After we assembled the houses we decided to do our gift exchange with the kids. We had decided to do a $2 gift exchange with the cousins since they get so much stuff for Chritmas we thought this would be a fun thing to do. However pausing in between we did loose a few of our house builders but none the less we got them done. We had no catastrophies all the roofs stayed on and they all turned out! It was so much fun and I can not wait until we do it again next year.

Loving the Christmas Decorations

Braxy has been enjoying all of the decorations around the house this Christmas. Fortunatly after all of my years at the Disney store I have some fun Christmas decoration toys that he can play with that kind of keep him away from the tree...Kind of! That does not mean that there is ornaments on the bottom half of the tree because there is not but at least there are some other distractions as well.

Trouble is spelled B-R-A-X-T-O-N

For what ever reason the dishwasher is Braxys favorite place to try and play. I have resorted to taping it shut cause he can unlock it, lock it and also start it. When it gets quiet this is where we can find him usually grabbing for a Knife!

Thanksgiving

Unfortunatly our Thanksgiving was uneventful together as a family. Braxy was really sick with an ear infection and a virus which caused him to have an eye infection. We took him to the Dr Wednesday night and they said he would be contagious for 24 hours so home was where we were going to stay for turkey day. We decided to do shifts with our families and I went and had dinner with my family while Brooks stayed home and then Brooks went to his parents for dinner. I was bummed that we didnt get to all be together but Braxys health is more important. I was also bummed because I had purchased this cute outfit for Braxy and was so so excited for him to wear it. I put it on him anyway and he looked adorable. Then Friday Mom and Jeanene and I headed out at 330 am to shop. We had so much fun and got some great deals. I basically am finished with my Christmas shopping other than a few stocking stuffers. It was a fun few days and Brax is feeling a lot better. I am so excited for the coming month and all the fun parties and family get togethers planned. We will be kicking off the Christmas season this weekend by making authentic gingerbread houses with Brooks family on Saturday and then my Family on Sunday. Stay Tuned......

A lil Preview

We had Family pics taken yesterday. It was a daunting task to get Brax to smile which is very unusual however he did not sleep at all the night before and was not feeling too well. I am so excited to see the rest of the pics since these turned out so cute. Thanks again Whit!
