U Of U Game

Last night Braxy and I had the opportunity to go to the U game with my parents. I was debating on going wondering if he would really behave or sit still through the whole game. Brooks was working security at the game (his new part time gig) so we decided we might as well try it out. Surprisingly Brax was really good. As long as we kept giving him treats he was a happy boy. He loved watching the band and got excited when everyone cheered. It was lots of fun and we can not wait to go again. AND OF COURSE OUR UTES WON!!!

Build a Bear

Last Friday Jeanene and I took the kids to Gateway to see the Elephants from the circus parade down Gateway. We had some awesome coupons for build a bear as well so we decided to take them there first. Braxy made a Horse since he loves horses and it even makes a noise. When we were done the parade has already came and went but we were able to see the elephants heading back to the tents a block down. It was a fun time and Braxy enjoyed it as well.

The Fair

We had the Opportunity to visit the fair 2 times this year and it is always an uplifting experience. You always seem to leave the fair with a little more self esteem that what you went with! Anyway, I thought it would be super fun to walk through the animals and let braxy see them. He was not too keen I set him down but one of the pigs and he screamed. However he Loves Grandpas horses so I dont get it. On Friday we were lucky enough to go to the Boys to men Concert. It was like Highschool all over again and those boys have still got it!!! It was so much fun. It was fun to go with brooks and his siblings we dont all get to go out much cause life is busy and kids keep them even busier but none the less it was super fun.

1 Year Check up

Braxy had his one year check up yesterday and he is Growing by leaps and bounds. He is the 95th percentile for his height and weight and 90th for his head.
He weight 25.6 pounds
was 32 1/4 inches long
He did have an ear infection which I kind of wondered about but just thought it was his teething. He pulls a little but has not been onery or fussy. He got 4 shots and only cried for a minute. I still can not believe that he is 1 and is getting so big. We love you big boy!

Salsa Salsa Salsa

Monday My mom and I made Fresh Salsa. I fell in love with my friend Kathys Recipie so we decided to try it. The only problem is Kath is a little Dislexix and she gave us the recipie a little wrong she told us 2/3 cup Salt instead of 1/4 cup so our first batch was so dang salty we had to had a ton more tomatoes and ended up with twice as much as we had planned but it turned out So yummy! I think I have eaten 3 bottles on my own already. Thanks mom for all the fun times. You are right we are a great team!

30th Birthday

Last Saturday I turned the Inevitable 30. Everyone says its the new 20 but I dont believe them. It really was kind of depressing! But none the less it was a fun day, My best friend Sally came and picked me up at 8:30 in the morning and we went to Brakfast at Paradise Bakery and had some good Girl talk time. Then I came home and we got ready and headed to my moms to help her peel roasted Chili peppers that she bought in bulk to freeze this year. And then Brooks and Brax and I headed to Cabelas (yes I said Cabelas, even on my birthdy) and I got the Boots that I have been wanting for over 3 years and a cute Camo Hoodie that Brooks Begged me to get and it is pretty dang cute. Then from Cabelas we headed to Rachelle and Tracy's house for dinner. They were so sweet to have my family out for dinner for my birthday. Thanks again guys. Daruis "Super Hot Man" Rucker Concert!

For my Birthday my sweet friend Jeanene got us tickets to the Darius Rucker concert (in case you dont know who he is it is the lead singer of the former Hootie and the Blowfish group) He has now gone country and that is where he belongs. It was at the Sandy city Ampitheatre and we had a blast. It was a beautiful night and the concert was awesome. After the concert we had our own concert at Jeanenes playing Guitar Hero! Thanks Bajene for yet another fun night! Your the best!
