Busy 1st week home

Well it has been one week today that we brought Braxton home with us. It has been a fun week none the less. We went to visit great grandma kemp, We went and visited Grandma and Grandpa Hadlow, we hung out with grandma kay and aunt aubrey and cousin Macie and most of all brooks fulfilled his dream and wish of taking his son with him to the Cabin. We just hung out inside mostly. Bre and Talm and the kids were there with us on saturday night and we had our number one helper Haven who was willing to hold Braxton all day long and was in heaven. Signed, Sealed, Delivered, He's Ours!!!

Oh what a Happy Day! We signed all of our paperwork today and Braxy is officially ours. Lindsay was so strong and I commend her for her strength. We all got to have lunch together in her room after signing and spend some time together. Then it was time to go into the nursery and get the last minute teachings and on our way home we went. It has been a busy night with visitors of course but we are so Glad to be home!

One day closer

Well we are one day closer to coming home. It looks like we will be coming home on wednesday they told us tonight to bring the car seat in tomorrow to test it so that is usually a sure sign that we are almost out the door. Braxy had some visitors today Grandma and Grandpa Beattie came and Daddy and grandpa gave him a blessing and then uncle scott, aunt aubrey and aunt ki and grandma kay came. We can only have 3 in at a time so we went in shifts but is was fun. here are some pics. we forgot to take the camera in when grandma and grandpa beattie were there so they are missing sorry

It is already happening!!!!

You know people always tell you you will be amazed at what you will do for your kids. I always listened but thought it would never actually hit me until today! Some of you will think this is little and silly but if you truly know me you know it is huge coming from me!!! We were in the nicu today and i was holding Braxtons hand and the nurse came in and said i forgot to tell you that if you have artificial nails you have to wear gloves..... WHAT!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!! So i put the gloves on and hated not touching our baby skin to skin so needless to say over to my moms i went and soaked off my nails. Granted i will not be able to fix my hair or put my contacts in tomorrow but that is ok i will get used to it!!!! Ok so on the other hand here is an update. Brax seems to be doing great before we left tonight they turned his o2 off and he was breathing on his own he will be in there for sure three days maybe a week but he is improving nicely. Lindsay was kind enough to sign some papers tonight that gives us rights to talk to the nurses and know what is going on at all times so we got to feed him and hold him for a while and Brooksie changed his first diaper and did a great job.

Update on Braxy

Well it is not always have a baby and bring him home in 2 days!!! Little braxy is giving his new mom and daddy a little run for their money he is teaching us that he is going to be stubborn. He was admitted into the NICU today he has developed some Jaundis and when he eats his oxygen drops so they have him on oxygen and under the lights for a few days. We do not have a full report because they will not release info to us until Lindsay signs some papers tonight. So when we know more i will post it.

Braxton Lane Beattie has arrived.

After 27 hours of Labor and an hour of pushing cute little Lindsey ended up have a C Section on Friday night. She was such a trooper through everything and never once complained. Braxton was born Friday August 29, 2008 at 10:19pm he weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 21 3/4 long. He was having some trouble with fluid in his lungs but they are working with him. I am so tired I too have been up for 27 hours rooting lindsay on and being by her side. So for now good night but i will send pics tomorrow.
